(ANSAmed) - ALGIERS, SEPTEMBER 27 - In Algeria, over 1,900
people died and 22,000 were injured in car accidents in the
first 8 months of 2010. According to police figures, published
in the press, about 1250 accidents took place in the first eight
months across the entire country.
Numbers that are in decline compared to last year, stressed
the same source, who specified that the number of mortalities
decreased by about 25%, while the number of injuries and
accidents in general decreased by over 28%.
Among the main causes of accidents were speeding, losing
control of the vehicle and dangerous passes. (ANSAmed).
