(ANSAmed) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 3 - Algeria has imported medicine
of a value of two billion dollars over the last year. This is
according to Jamal Waled Abbas, Algeria's Health Minister, who
was quoted by Mena.
The Minister says that the drugs are a strategic product and are
part of national security. Before the end of 2010, Abbas
continues, a joint venture will be launched between the Health
Ministry and the American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly for
the creation of two new product lines - one for diabetes and the
other for cancer. (ANSAmed).
