(ANSAmed) - SESTRI LEVANTE (GENOA), NOVEMBER 5 - The
Fondazione Mediaterranea, established by the Province of Genoa
and Municipality of Sestri Levante, which focuses on protecting
children in the Mediterranean region, will organise a "Forum on
childhood" on November 19-20 in Sestri Levante at the Annunziata
Centre, and Tunisia will be the guest of honour.
The announcement was made today by the Director of the
foundation, Angiolino Barreca, in front of the Mayor of Sestri
Levante, Andrea Lavarello, the Councillor for Culture, Valentina
Ghio and Tunisian consul Slaheddine Ben Abid, explaining that
the central topic will be communication between the
participating nations, which in addition to Italy and Tunisia,
include Morocco, the Congo, Benin, Cameroon, France, Egypt,
Algeria, Albania and at the last moment, Libya may also join.
The guest of honour will be the Tunisian Minister for Children
and Education, Behia Chihi, accompanied by five children the
"Sos enfante" village near Tunis. Officials from the ministries
in all of the countries involved will take part in the two days
dedicated to emergencies and possible measures. (ANSAmed).
